Zooey Deschanel gives us a fourth reason to adore her (Reason #1, Reason #2, Reason #3) with a newly launched website for women, Hello Giggles. Deschanel and her co-founding friends (producer Sophia Rossi and Internet sensation Molly McAleer) claim the site will be "the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females." I don't know if that's exactly true, but there are a few gems here and there, and you gotta love her for trying.

Bite-Sized Do-Gooding
After missing too many meetings with the charity I'd been working with (Step Up Women's Network - they have excellent youth mentoring programs), I've been searching for volunteering opportunities that A) are easy to get to B) are relatively inexpensive and C) match my skills and interests.
The newly launched microvolunteering network, Sparked, is all that and more. Simply fill out a brief questionnaire and you'll be presented with matching "challenges" (for example, "How should we prioritize our social media efforts?" from Save a Mother, and "Can you help us spread the word about our upcoming celebrity event?" from Help For Orphans Intl.).
Offer advice on your own time and help mobilize non-profits you care about. It's a win-win.

DAME DEAL: 1/2 Off Pizza From HomeMade Pizza Co.
A Chicago pizza company is invading the New York area. But it's okay, the owner's from here originally.
The HomeMade Pizza Company opened its fifth east coast location in Hoboken a few weeks ago, and their signature take-and-bake pies are the perfect dinner option for a busy day. Stop by the shop, choose your crust and (locally-sourced) ingredients, and pop it in your oven at home.
Owner Eric Fosse says he spent more than two years perfecting the crust in his home kitchen, and let's just say it beats Boboli's. But don't take it from me, take it from Oprah.
Mention 'The Dame' or print out the voucher and get 1/2 off your first medium pizza. Offer expires June 30th.
Preview: Gilt Taste
Somehow food markets just aren't as appealing when they're online. Although, Gilt's new culinary "magazine" (in beta) does a pretty good job of selling its catalog of artisan food products with beautiful photography and difficult-looking recipes (and no ads!).
So far, I applaud Gilt's attempt to create a "groundbreaking digital-magazine-catalog hybrid," and can't wait until they launch a version for iPad. In the mean time, I'll be waiting for the how-to videos before I try my hand at the recipes.
Adele: Tiny Desk Concert
This NPR Tiny Desk Concert will be on repeat until tonight... Adele at Beacon Theater. Curious to see how her performance has changed since I saw her during her pre-Grammy days. She was nervous and bumbly, but still breathtaking.
Going to the show? Check out a clip of her opener, The Civil Wars.

SALE ALERT: Anthropologie
Since they only happen once in a blue moon, any sale at Anthropologie is worth sharing. And this one is pretty major. Enjoy :)
